Yes, you can, these are private lab tests. However it’s advisable to have a doctor or a functional
specialist who can help with interpreting the results and will guide you further.
Please take a look at our catalogue. If unsure, you can ask for a consultation where guidance is
provided based on your individual symptoms or on comparing your existing lab results to the lab test
history of other patients with simliar sympthoms and offering those Rare Diseases Labs tests these
patients have already benefitted from.
We only offer a selection of tests from from the world’s leading accredited laboratories that are
specialists in their own area. These companies have already invested significant amounts of capital –
in their technology, research and the validation of their tests to ensure accuracy and meaningful
results. The price also includes admin, customs processing and shipment fees as well as overseas
delivery assurance.
Unfortunately most private labs have their tests calibrated to the acute form of the most common
infections – but in the event of a chronic infection a very different techology is required. It is also
very important to be able to differentiate a chronic infection from a latent one or an asymptomatic
reactivation in order to avoid unecessary treatments!
All the labs we work with have strict quality assurance procedures and first they examine and
determine viability. If samples have become unviable due to transit conditions they will not perform
the test to ensure no false results are given. In the unlikely event that it happens to your sample a
new sample will be requested – free of charge for you!
All tests will come with an interpretation guide from the labs performing the actual test and a basic
technical commentary from us.
It really varies based on their level of education and on how up-to-date they are on the latest
research. If your doctor doesn’t feel comfortable with your situation you can always ask them to
refer you to a specialist based on your lab results. Alternatively we can also provide you some doctor
recommendations based on your condition. Please remember that it is always your physician’s
prerogative to make the call on your treatment analysing risk and benefits.
